Statistics are assumed to be objective, trustworthy, and factual; in reality, statistics are often manipulated, flawed, or presented in a way that signals biases. Pay close attention to statistics and “facts” when reading reports or the news, and keep in mind that knowledge is ultimately created and shaped by people.
According to a study done by Bloomberg, eight out of 10 small businesses will fail within the first 18 months. The only problem is that this study done by Bloomberg doesn’t exist.
