Instagram Could be a $2 Billion Business Next Year

Three years ago, Facebook acquired Instagram when it had fewer than 80 million users for $1 billion dollars. Today, the app has over 300 million users and could generate $2 billion in revenue next year. How did Facebook do it? By effectively incorporating a mobile advertising business that didn’t detract users and increased ad sales. It has found a way to incorporate an ad into a personal experience with great success.
