Why Apple Abandoned the World’s Most Beloved Typeface

Apple has replaced its beloved Helvetica Neue typeface for its first in-house font in 20 years–say hello to San Francisco. It was designed with the Apple watch in mind but it was also “built to be dynamic; as screen size changes, so, too, does the typeface.” As Apple continues to create new technologies for its users, its vital to change the typography as well to ensure that the experience is the same across every device.
